I started full time on February 28, 1989 as the Carpet Studio warehouse manager & shortly after transitioned to the general manager for 35 years. In August, 2022, I purchased the business and became a co-owner with Jon Hammons.
I have worked in every aspect of flooring & window treatments, giving me a wealth of knowledge in this industry. I am a Hunter Douglas certified window treatment installer. I love being involved with my church & participating in many charity & community events. Love Glamping in Mears, MI, Silver Lake Sand Dunes & enjoy relaxing on the weekends during our summer months.
The wife keeps me going, we have 4 boys, 5 grand children, 3 dogs and am absolutely blessed to have the life I do.
Owner/Contract Specialist
I have been in the floor covering industry for over 35 years, most of my working life.
After a few years as an apprentice, I started my own installation business working with stores/contractors in both commercial and residential settings.
In 2012, I joined the Carpet Studio team as the commercial sales manager and estimator. I was helped tremendously with the transition by the experienced sales team as well as management. In 2022, the general manager and myself were able to come to an agreement with the retiring owner, to purchase the Carpet Studio business. This to has been, for the most part, an enjoyable challenge and quite a learning curve.
For the last 15 years, I have worked with Carpet Studio, starting full-time in 2022. Currently working as warehouse manager, after 15 years experience at other places and traveling the country to help efficiency.
When not at work, I enjoy watching sports or relaxing with my wife and son. Camping is by far our families favorite activity.
I’ve been in the floor covering industry for nearly 20 years, starting as a sales representative and assistant manager at a local competitor, and for the past 10 years serving as Sales Manager at Carpet Studio Flooring America. I’m a certified flooring specialist and take great pleasure in working with customers and installers both in-store and on job sites.
I’m happily married to my best friend, and we have two children who are very involved in local and travel sports.
I’ve spent the last 30 years in retail sales and management in the auto industry, along with the past five years at Carpet Studio Flooring America. I grew up in Detroit and moved to Lansing in 1987 with my wife, Laura.
We got married in 1998 and have raised three wonderful children together. In my spare time, I enjoy taking long drives in the country, dining out, and following college basketball and football.
I began my flooring career as an owner and operator of a flooring store for 25 years, and have also worked as a carpet cleaner and installer. Today, I’m a certified journeyman with experience expanded into ceramic tile and hardwood flooring, and I’m certified as an Armstrong vinyl installer.
I currently work as an estimator at Carpet Studio Flooring America. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and five grandchildren.
I’ve installed residential and commercial flooring throughout the area for the past 18 years.
I’m married with three children and serve on local football and baseball boards. I also actively coach youth football and baseball teams
I’ve been in the flooring trade for the past 4 years and plan to continue learning as much as I can. I take pride in the work I do and enjoy finishing each project knowing it looks its best.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dogs and playing golf.
I have installed hard surface flooring in mid-Michigan for the past 12 years. I’m married with two beautiful daughters and enjoy fly fishing in my free time. I take great pride in delivering excellent workmanship on every project.
I’m a dedicated sales professional with three years of experience specializing in window treatments. I’m passionate about helping customers find the perfect solutions for their homes and am now expanding my expertise into the flooring industry. I’m committed to customer satisfaction and eager to continue learning while working closely with clients to enhance their spaces with beautiful, functional products.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, Julia, and exploring the outdoors through activities like disc golf, beach outings, and trips to the Upper Peninsula.
I’m a Commercial Estimator at Carpet Studio where I provide accurate, detailed cost estimates to help ensure efficient project execution. Before stepping into this role, I served in the U.S. Navy working in Engineering – an experience that shaped my work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. After my service, I spent two years installing residential and commercial flooring alongside my brothers, including projects for Carpet Studio, which gave me valuable hands-on experience. I’m known for my positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and drive to grow both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new things, and spending time with my family.
I bring over 7 years of experience in the flooring industry and currently serve in an operations role at Carpet Studio Flooring America. With a strong background in customer service, organization, and team coordination, I play a key role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Prior to entering the flooring industry, I dedicated 15 years to the healthcare field as a nurse, where I developed a deep commitment to helping others, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
I am a proud mother of two daughters and grandmother to five grandchildren. I come from a large family of 13, which has instilled in me a strong sense of connection, teamwork, and family values. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as swimming and walking.
